Nox SIP – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Nox SIP (“the app”) is an Android app for SIP voice calls, SMS and encrypted backup. This policy explains what the app handles and where it goes.

The short version
- We (the developer) run no server that receives your data. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the app.
- Your SIP accounts, call log, recordings and messages stay on your phone.
- If you use the optional Google Drive backup, an encrypted file is stored in the hidden app-data folder of your own Google Drive. We cannot read it.
Data the app handles
SIP account details
The username, password and server that you enter are stored on your phone. The password is encrypted with a key in the phone’s Android Keystore. When you register and make calls, the app talks directly to the SIP server you configured; that provider’s own privacy policy applies to that traffic.
Call history and recordings
Call history is stored on your phone. If you turn on automatic call recording, recordings are saved to your phone’s
storage (Recordings/SipDialer). Make sure you follow the recording laws that apply to you.
Contacts
With the Contacts permission the app shows contact names next to phone numbers. Contacts are not uploaded anywhere.
SMS messages
With the SMS permissions (read, send, receive) the app copies your phone’s messages into its own database so they show in the Messages tab, sends messages you write over your SIM, and can include messages in your backup. Messages leave the phone only as the SMS you send, or inside a backup that you create and that is encrypted with your password.
Microphone and phone state
The microphone is used for calls and recording. Phone state is used to list your SIM cards and to work with the system dialer.
Backup
- Local backup: you can export your SIP accounts, call log and messages to a file on your phone, encrypted with a password you choose.
- Google Drive backup (optional): if you sign in with Google, the app asks for the permission
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. It lets the app read and write only its own hidden folder in your Google Drive. It cannot see your other Drive files. The backup file is encrypted on your phone with your backup password before it is uploaded, so neither we nor Google can read its contents. If you forget the backup password, the backup cannot be opened. - The app keeps only the email address of the connected Google account on the phone, to show which account is in use. You can disconnect in the app at any time and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. Data goes only where you send it: to your SIP provider (calls), to your mobile network (SMS), and to your own Google Drive (if you use cloud backup).
The app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting data
- Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, removes all data kept on the phone. Call recordings saved in your phone’s Recordings folder can be deleted from there.
- Your Drive backup can be removed from Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps, or by revoking the app’s access in your Google account.
- For any question or deletion request, email support@noxbrain.com or mehedyhsn25@gmail.com.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page when the app’s data handling changes and change the “Last updated” date above.
